Android 4.3 update for Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Note 2 coming in the next couple of months

If you are rocking a Samsung Galaxy S4, S3 or a Note 2 and have been long awaiting the Android 4.3 update then there is some good news for you. If the reports are to be believed then the update should make its way to the aforementioned devices Q4 of this year.

A leaked roadmap from French carrier SFR reveals the months in which you should expect the updates to come to your Gakaxy S4, S3 and Note 2. The Android 4.3 update will make its way to Galaxy S4 devices next month that is October and for all the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 devices, the update should come this Nov-Dec. This should make the Note 2 owners especially happy as they have been stuck at Android 4.1.2 since a long time and i know many of my friends complaining that there has been no update for such a flagship device.

Android 4.3 update

Android 4.3 is more of a under the hood update rather than being a consumer update so don’t expect a lot from the update but Samsung will be bringing some new features like making these devices compatible with the Galaxy Gear. We should know more once Samsung puts up the official changelog.

The roadmap also shows the update status for a couple of more devices, namely the HTC One and Lumia 520 which by the way is now the most popular Windows device. The roadmap shows that the HTC One should also get the Android 4.3 update this October and the GDR2 update should come to Lumia 520. The GDR2 update is basically the Nokia Amber update which we already know about.
