Apple’s updated iPads have been rumored for quite long and now you won’t have to wait longer as Apple is holding an event on October 22nd (yes the same date on which Nokia is holding their Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi) where we can expect to see the new iPads, the iPad 5 or the new iPad and iPad Mini 2 or the new iPad Mini.
It’s not the first time Apple is holding an event on the same day a competitor is holding an event , they like diverting attention after all. Nokia will be unveiling their first phablet Lumia 1520 at the Nokia World event on the same date. Well coming back to the Apple event and the new iPads. The next generation iPad is sure to be announced along with a new iPad Mini. The iPad 5 or the new iPad will feature the A7x processor and a TouchID fingerprint scanner we first came across in the iPhone 5s. The design also is said to be overhauled and inspired by the iPad Mini so we could see thinner bezels.
There have been contradictory rumors floating around regarding the new iPad Mini or iPad Mini 2, whatever Apple decides to call it. Reportedly Apple has been working on both Retina and non-Retina versions of the iPad Mini but we aren’t sure which one will be unveiled. Well we won’t have to wait much longer as we’ll get to know everything about the new iPads in a couple of weeks time.
Apart from the iPads we are sure to see upgraded Macbook Pro and Macbook Air line which should feature the Haswell processors from Intel which give a major boost to battery life. Shipping dates of the new Mac pro should also be announced and the new iPad and the new iPad Mini should start shipping starting next month. So anyone waiting for the new iPads ?
