Microsoft had announced at their Build conference in June that the official Facebook app will be coming to the Windows 8 Store and today its finally here. The official Facebook app is now available at the Windows Store but is only available for devices running the just released Windows 8.1
The app is quite well built meeting Windows 8.1’s touch interface. It looks like well a Facebook app. The right side features the chats and its well categorized with Group Chats at the top followed by your recent interactions and then others. The center is the News Feed while the left pane features access to news feed, messages, events, friends etc .. The friend request, messages and notifications are on the top right with touch friendly buttons. The Facebook app also features a Share Charm feature which lets you automatically attach the photo you are viewing in a mail. There’s also built-in search feature.
The official Facebook app is now available at the Windows Store but is only available for devices running the just released Windows 8.1. You can see the app on Windows Store using Windows 8 as well but when you try to install the app, it says, “Sorry, this app can’t be installed because your PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements.” Well if you have already updated to Windows 8.1 then click on the link below and check out the official Facebook app and tells us what you think of it..
