The long rumored and leaked HTC One Mini has finally been made official today. If you loved the HTC One and wished you could get that awesome metal design for a lesser price or a in a more compact design then the One Mini is your thing.
The HTC One Mini is identical to the HTC One in terms of design with the all metal design and the dual speakers on the front which is great considering how much we love the design of the One. The One Mini looks a smaller One which is pretty obvious considering the name is One “Mini”. Thanks to the same design, we also get the awesome Boom Sound stereo speakers we love in the One.
The One Mini comes with a 720p 4.3-inch display of SLCD2 variety, the ppi is good at 341 and it has Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 which should protect the One Mini from scratches.
There’s a dual core Snapdragon 400 chipset under the hood clocked at 1.4 GHz , Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM in the One Mini. The sad part of the hardware is there’s 16 GB of storage but no external memory slot.
The One Mini will come with the latest Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5. It also gets the BlinkFeed and Beats Audio goodness. There’s also the same UltraPixel 4 MP camera the One has but for the Optical image stabilization. It has the same sensor along with HTC’s ImageChip 2. It also has all the software tricks the One has such as the Zoe mode, HDR, the LED flash of the One Mini’s camera uses five levels of luminance which HTC calls Smart flash. The UltraPixel camera can shoot 1080p videos and the front facing camera is of 1.6 MP and it shoots 720p videos.
HTC One Mini covers all the connectivity features you can think of with LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, Wi-FI a/b/g/n with DLNA and GPS + GLONASS, so its quite a lot considering it will be a mid range device. There are whole lot of sensors as well in the smartphone.
Coming to the dimensions, the One Mini measures 132 x 63.2 x 9.25 and weighs 122 grams. The device is powered by a 1800 mAH battery and is rated at 13.2 hours of 3G talk time and 692 hours of 3G stand-by.

It is a great mid-high range device infact its a great smartphone if you don’t like those huge display smartphones that we have today. A great compact offering by HTC. The One Mini will come in grey which is silver and HTC calls it Glacier Silver and black which the Taiwanese company calls Steath Black. It will cost you 580$ and will start rolling out in August and September will see a much broader availability.
The One design is surely striking and we are glad HTC is using the design in a more compact device like the One Mini and hopefully the rumor of a One running Windows Phone is true as well and i sincerely hope a “Glamour Red” edition of the One Mini also comes just like the One as the red metal look is surely a stunner.
