iOS 9.1 public beta is now available to download

Apple has had a busy week with the new iPhones, iPad Pro, Apple TV and the company also announced that iOS 9 would roll out to existing devices starting September 16. A few hours after the event, iOS 9.1 beta for developers started rolling out. Now, the iOS 9.1 public beta is available for your downloading pleasure.

Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus iOS 9

Apple has been releasing public betas of its iOS builds for the past few months but this is the first time the time between the developer and public beta has been so less.

iOS 9.1 brings a number of important updates including developer APIs for the new 3D Touch feature and Live Photos. The new iOS build also supports iPad Pro’s cool accessories like the Smart Keyboard and Pencil. iOS 9.1 also brings better performance compared to iOS 9 along with new emojis.

Since, it’s a public beta build, anyone with an iOS device can get the latest iOS build. All you need to do is register yourself in the beta software program by Apple and you are good to go, as the update will be available as an OTA right on your iDevice.

You can also choose to wait since iOS 9 will be available next week and beta builds don’t really bode well in your day to day usage. If you are one of the impatient ones, you can register yourself in the Apple’s beta software program here and get going.
