Microsoft released Windows 8.1 to the world yesterday and now the largest PC maker Lenovo followed by launching a 8-inch Tablet running Windows 8.1 dubbed Miix 2.
The Miix2, yes we agree it’s a pretty weird name, features a 8-inch display of 1280 x 800 resolution and comes with Intel’s Bay Trail-T Quad Core processor which should make sure that even Windows 7 and older apps work well on the device. There’s a 5 MP on the rear and a 2 MP cam on the front. There is 64 GB storage but you can expand it upto 128 GB through the microSD card slot.
The Windows 8.1 running Tablet features quite a simple yet refined design and Miix2 also comes with an optional stylus and a detachable cover which comes in lots of colors to make your Tablet look cool and it also works as a stand for viewing the display at an angle.
We were hoping to see more small screened Windows Tablets once Windows 8.1 was released and Lenovo is the first company to come out with a smaller display featuring Windows 8.1 Tablet but we hope to see more manufacturers joining the pparty soon. Lenovo Miix2 is priced at $299 and should reach the markets later this month.
