LG has just yesterday launched its flagship Android smartphone, the LG G2 in India, it also unveiled its phablet Optimus G Pro last month and now a new LG phablet has surfaced along with pictures and specs dubbed the LG G Pro Lite Dual. Yeah we feel the same about that name as you do.
Hi-Tech Mail.ru, a Russian website has posted alleged pictures of the LG G Pro Lite Dual. The name we don’t really like suggests us what the device is like, G Pro suggests us that the device will be in the phablet range just like the Optimus G Pro, the ‘Lite’ suggests us that it will be a budget version of the high end Optimus G Pro, being ‘Lite’ on specs and the Dual tells us that that device will come with dual-sim funcionality.
The LG G Pro Lite Dual is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch qHD (960 x 540) IPS display featuring a 1 GHz dual-core processor and will come with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean just like the Optimus G Pro. The device is also expected to come with a 8 MP rear camera , a front facing camera and a good enough 3140 mAh battery just like the Optimus G Pro. The device is also said to come with a Rubberdium stylus, the one it bundles only with its Vu smartphones.
The picture of the LG G Pro Lite Dual shows a dedicated sim card switch button thus confirming the dual-sim capability otherwise it looks similar to the Optimus G Pro. The device should go head to head against big screen devices such as the Galaxy Mega 5.8. The device will reportedly come in black and white variants and will go on sale in mid-October in Russia at a price of 12,990 Russian Rubles (~Rs. 25050). The device should also come to India soon after that as there’s a huge market here for dual-sim capable smartphones.
