Micromax working on Canvas Turbo A250 featuring a full HD display

Micromax, the Indian handset maker has been getting some great success in the Indian market thanks to them bringing some great devices at affordable rates.The company recently unveiled two flagship of theirs which have been doing really well here namely the Canvas 4 and Canvas Doodle 2 and according to reports they are all set to launch their first smartphone featuring a Full HD (1920 x 1080) display dubbed Canvas Turbo.

The twitter user MMXNewscaste posted a screenshot of what is the boot animation of the device Micromax is working and thus revealing the name of the latest device the Indian maker is working on. The Canvas Turbo has the model number A250, in comparison Canvas 4’s model number is A210 and the Canvas Doodle 2 as A240 so making the Canvas Turbo a higher specced model.

Another source DroidExtra got hold of the Canvas Turbo’s ROM and it lists the device having a Ful HD display. The device is also said to come with a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core MT6589T MediaTek Processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU while the Canvas 4 and Doodle 2 featured a 1.2 GHz Quad Core MT6589 MediaTek Processor.

There is no more concrete information about the specs of the device or the screen size but rumors suggest a 6-6.3-inch display, 13 MP rear camera with a LED flash, 5 MP front facing one, 1 GB RAM although some say 2 GB and we hope for the latter, 32 GB internal storage along with microSD expansion.

Micromax has been getting great success with the company becoming the second largest smartphone player in India beating Nokia and its recent collaboration with Aircel should help them grow further. We can expect the company to get even more succes with the Canvas Turbo as we know they bring value for money and that’s what works here in India. For example take a look at the success of the Lumia 520.

Well coming back to Micromax Canvas Turbo, we have don’t have any dates to give as to when we will see the device officially but we’ll bring you more scope on the device as we get to know more so stay tuned.
