We recently reported that Micromax is working on bringing its first smartphone with a Full HD display dubbed Canvas Turbo and the Indian manufacturer also teased the device with Hug Jackman in a video. The specs of the device were rumors but now we have more concrete details about the device thanks to a Canvas Turbo sketch.
The popular Micromax leaker @MMXNewscaster is at it again as it has just revealed the Canvas Turbo sketch which gives us much more details about the device then we know. From the sketch, we now know that the device will feature a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display contradicting rumors of a 6-inch display. the sketch also reveals a 5 MP secondary camera and now Micromax is using micro SIM slots in the device.
Other rumored specs are a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core MT6589T MediaTek Processor with PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU coupled with 2 GB of RAM which should make it the first Micromax device to have 2 gigs of RAM. There should be a 13 MP camera on the back like the Canvas 4 and Canvas Doodle 2. We hope it comes with Android 4.3 if not Android 4.4 which is just round the corner although Micromax’s software customizations like the Blow to Unlock should be there and we might also see BBM on the device considering Micromax’ and BlackBerry’s deal.
Micromax is going great guns and they have recently roped in Hollywood star and Hugh Jackman aka Wolverine as their brand ambassador so it’ll be interesting to see if Micromax goes big in the coming days although they are already big in India considering they are the second largest smartphone player here. So what do you think of the Canvas Turbo that we can make out in the Canvas Turbo sketch? Do tell us in comments below..
