Motorola has been on a roll off late, as it recently launched the Moto G 3rd gen in India and now, it’s gearing up to launch some more smartphones. While the Lenovo-owned company launched the new Moto G in India, it was also busy unveiling the new Moto X devices in the U.S., the Moto X Style and Moto X Play.
Well, if the new Motorola India teaser on Twitter is any indication, the Moto X Style should arrive in India soon. The Motorola India teasers says, “No more getting dumped by your phone. Your perfect partner is coming with 30 hours of battery backup. #XOMotoX”. The teaser also show you the back of the Moto X Play.
The Indian launch of the Moto X Play is no surprise, considering the fact that the device was spotted at a listing on Zauba. The listing revealed that 80 units of the Moto X Play were imported to Bangalore for testing purposes.
The Moto X Play is a pretty decent smartphone, considering the specs. The Moto X Play features a 5.5-inch 1080p display and it’s powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2 GB RAM. Other specs include 16/32 GB of expandable storage, 21 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera, 3630 mAh battery, Android 5.1.1, 4G LTE and water repellant coating.
The listing on Zauba had the price for a Moto X Play unit declared at $350 (~ Rs. 22,200), so we can expect the final pricing to be around the Rs. 24,000 mark, which is where the OnePlus 2 is priced at.
Considering the tease, we can expect Motorola to launch the Moto X Play in India pretty soon and as always, we will keep you posted.
