So Nokia fans waiting for the Lumia 1020 to come to India can finally rejoice as the device packing amazing imaging capabilities thanks to its 41 MP camera has finally made its way to Indian shores.

Lumia 1020

The Lumia 1020 was announced way back in July and it has taken quite a bit of time to come here but its better late than never. With the festive season coming soon here in India, this is surely the right time for the Lumia 1020. The Lumia 1020 will be available at stores starting October 11th and there’s no pricing from Nokia India yet but they hinted the price to be around 800 USD.

Chances are you already know most of the things about the smartphone but let us remind you again. The Nokia Lumia 1020 features a 4.5-inch AMOLED display of 1280 x 768 resolution and with the PureMotion HD+ moniker first introduced by Nokia in the Lumia 920. It features the dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage is 32 GB but sadly there is no way to increase the capability.

Coming to the USP of the device, the 41 MP camera is feature packed. The camera sensor is f/2.2 sensor and gives you 3X lossless zoom. There also the next gen optical image stabilizer and the folks at Nokia tell us that the device produces sharper images than most digital cameras and we wouldn’t disagree as we have already seen the capabilities

There is the Nokia Pro Cam which makes the camera experience even more impressive as it brings the ability to take two shots at a time, one with full resolution 38 MP and other 5 MP image. It also brings manual controls for almost everything.

The accessories like the Camera Grip have also been announced, it will cost you Rs. 7500 and the wireless charging shell will cost you Rs. 3200.

All in all the Nokia Lumia 1020 is the camera to beat of course (ofcourse along with the Nokia 808 PureView). So anyone getting the Lumia 1020?
