The Nokia Lumia 925 comes with some great tricks up its sleeve like the Nokia smart camera and others but thankfully all of the Lumia lineup with Windows Phone 8 will be getting those awesome features in a software update called “Amber”.
During the launch of the Lumia 925, Nokia had said that the update would come to the Lumia devices in July but according to a tweet from Nokia’s Spain account, we will have to wait a month more to get the update.
The “Amber” update will be bringing the Nokia Smart Camera lens to other Lumia smartphones which takes a bunch of pictures at 5 MP and lets you do cool tricks with those pictures, you can use “Action shots” which is really cool, you can remove moving objects, choose the best expressions for a face. Another cool thing is motion focus which lets you track and focus a moving object. Check out the videos below.

The “Amber” update will bring FM Radio back to Lumia smartphones. There is also the Nokia Glance standby screen which is something we have to come to know from Symbian days and N9. There’s also a double tap to wake feature which is pretty cool and addictive having used it in the N9.
The Lumia 925 currently ships with the “Amber” software release and i can’t wait to test the new features on my Lumia 920. So this is it , there’s no official changelog from Nokia as to what else the “Amber” update will bring so we’ll tell you if we know more.
