Being one of the powerful E commerce sites in India, Amazon strengthens its withhold by establishing a Global Store for the masses in India. After China and Mexico, India is the third one to get Amazon Global Store.
Through the Global Store, Indian customers can easily purchase over 4 million international products. Customers could simply order items from Amazon’s US portal to India and like easier they wont have to pay in dollars anymore.
With the launch of Global Store, Amazon.in will become the single largest online destination for buying both local and global products in India leaving a door open for more products from various categories and countries to soon be available.
Raising a tough competition for Flipkart- the booming e-commerce website, Amazon will have a devoted hosting page which shows all the products that can be shipped to India. Brands like Jessica Simpson, Zumba and others will be seen on this global store along with product price, import fees and shipping fees. The estimated delivery time given is 2-12 days along with the mention of a justified return policy of 30 days of delivery for full or partial return based on the reason. Priority deliveries will have extra charges, whereas Standard delivery will be the slowest and cheapest.
Global Store aims Amazon to gain more market in India. Denoting the vision of expansion in India, CEO Jeff Bezos announced in June that Amazon will invest an additional $3 billion in India, totalling the overall investment in the country to $5 billion.
Hoping for a great success of Global Store in India, Amazon soon will launch its Prime service, offering people same day or two-day delivery for their products.
