The Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus launched its first official OnePlus online retail store, oneplusstore.in, for India on Thursday. While launching this website, company stated that the exclusive store might “improve the availability” of OnePlus products in India. The online store is aimed at engaging with the Indian OnePlus community by providing them with the “exclusive and original merchandise.”
Offline Store
In addition, Bengaluru has been chosen as the preferable spot to set up the first global experience store spreading over a 14,000 sqft area. This store will furnish all the latest smartphones & accessories by OnePlus enabling the buyers to gain a “touch & feel” experience before acquiring any OnePlus smartphone.
Commenting on the launch, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, India, OnePlus said,
“We are very excited to bring the globally acclaimed OnePlus shopping experience to our fans in India. With the new platform, our users will find it easier to purchase genuine OnePlus products and fan merchandise, right from the comfort of their homes. The e-commerce platform marks yet another major milestone in our India journey and reiterates our long term commitment towards the Indian market and our fan community here. ”
Vikas Agarwal while addressing the Media also said that the offline sale process won’t affect the online sale plans. The exclusive availability of the devices on Amazon India will still go on with the pricing advantages. Though he did not reveal the exact schedule to inaugurate the experience house but it appears to be a “Very Soon” deal. He also added that company has plans to extend its number of experience stores in different locations throughout India.
Availability of the smartphones
However, till now, their devices are exclusively available with the e-commerce retail partners. When asked to the company about the availability of the OnePlus3 smartphone on their website, the firm replied that as of now, they have no plans of selling the smartphone at their site and will continue with the online retail partners only.
