OnePlus is all set to unveil its next smartphone OnePlus Two on July 27th, but with a surprise element. Before we start to think about specifications and features, OnePlus has decided to not go for stereotypical launching event that is held in an auditorium with people seated. Instead, it is ready to launch it in front of the entire world through the first ever Virtual Reality Launch Event which can be streamed by all.
This mind-arresting idea that has been thought about by its CEO, Carl Pei, is different as each and every person can stand by the entire OnePlus team and fans as they reveal to us their next product. To make you feel much more ‘in the place’, OnePlus has come up with improvised version of Google Cardboard VR headsets made mainly of paper cardboard, lens, magnets and some adhesive strips. These will cost between Rs. 200 and Rs. 300.
Moreover, the company will announce as to how the people will be able to get or buy these cardboard headsets for the VR launch. Keeping aside the whole launch fiesta, Google Cardboard should be lauded for bringing the dream of b VR to people all around the world. We hope it will be even better than what we have in minds. They have also enhanced the Cardboard 2.0 features by making some improvements so that it is more accessible.
Google Cardboard version has been mainly carved out for the 5-inch Nexus 5 smartphone. In spite of it, the OnePlus Cardboard is expected to fit in bigger smartphones, although NFC is required for smooth navigation on any cardboard headset.
OnePlus had promised to offer us the best specs at affordable prices when it had hit the markets, and it may not be surprising if OnePlus Two will be marked at a price similar to OnePlus One. The price range is expected to be under Rs.25,000 as per the discussion on the One plus forum. OnePlus has revealed that the new flagship will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 version 2.1 SoC along with a USB Type-C connector. So let’s all gear up for experiencing something new on the launch of OnePlus Two.
