Airtel is now offering iPhone lovers in India to buy their favourite iPhone in just few intervals. The buyer needs to pay a down payment of INR 19,999 for iPhone 7 and INR 30,792 for iPhone 7 plus and the rest of the amount can be paid with bundled data and call charges.
But there is an interesting catch as to why Airtel can afford giving this offer to its customers.

According to BGR, the Airtel offer is only an enterprise offer, which means it is only application to employees of certain enterprises who have already tied up with Airtel, that means, majority of us are not eligible.

Recently, Airtel declared that the offer only applies on new iPhones purchased in India, and not on those bought abroad.
With Relaince Jio you don’t have to pay the entire amount at one go. Also, you don’t really have to worry for at least 15 months for any payment of phone and digital services. In addition to this Jio is offering a 25% discount on new iPhone 7 & 7 plus. Hence for JIO iPhone 7 offer you end up paying INR 45,000 instead of the retail price of INR 60,000. While with Airtel offer you end up paying INR 79,978.
Reliance Jio has extended its Welcome offer to iPhone 7, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6 and iPhone SE series.
So it’s a no brainer that Airtel offer is just a bad deal and you will end up paying a lot more by the end of the first year. While such iPhone contract offers exist in U.S, the balloon payment is never heard of.
