The Galaxy Tab 3 has made its way to Indian shores now as Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab 3 in India. The Galaxy Tab 3 has three variants, Galaxy Tab 3 211 (7-inch display), Galaxy Tab 3 310 and the Galaxy Tab 3 311 (both the 310 and 311 feature a 8-inch display).
First talking of the Galaxy Tab 3 211, it has a 7-inch TFT display and is known in the rest of the world as Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. The 7-inch display is of the resolution 1024 x 600 which is low but not really bad considering the price. Samsung’s 7-inch Tablet has a dual core processor with 1 GB of Ram. There is 8 GB of internals storage and you can expand that thanks to the micro sd card support. The Tablet has a good set of connectivity options with 3G and Wifi already in there along with Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0. The Tab 3 211 has a 3 Mp rear and a 1.3 Mp fromt camera. The device is powered by a 4000 mAh batteryand will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at a price of Rs. 17,745.
The other Tablets launched are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 310 and 311. Both the devices are basically identical but for the difference that 310 is the WiFi only variant while 311 is the WiFi+3G variant. The Tab 3 311 has voice calling capability too which might come handy for some.
The Galaxy Tab 3 310 and 311 are known as Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 in other parts of the world. It has a 8-inch IPS LCD display of 1280 x 800 resolution. It features a 1.5 GHz dual core processor coupled with 1.5 GB of Ram. There is 16 gigs of storage along with a micro sd card slot. It has a 5 MP rear and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. All the basic connectivity is covered on these Tablets such as Blurtpoth 4.0 and USB 2.0. The Tablet is powered by a 4450 mAh battery and comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, that is the latest Android version as of now (Although things are about to change on July 24th).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 310 will cost you Rs 21,945 and the Tab 3 311 Rs 25,725.
All the Galaxy Tab 3 variants come with TouchWiz on top of Android which brings some cool Samsung features such as the Multi Window, S Translaton, S Travel, Story Album, Group Play and more.
The Galaxy Tab 3 variants will be available in stores starting July 21st and if you are a Vodafone user planning to get any of these Tabs then there’s good news as you’ll get 2 GB of data per month for a couple of months.
These Tablets are good enough in their range but i suggest you to wait for a few more days and see if Google brings the next gen Nexus 7 and i case it brings then be sure it’ll be way more capable than the Galaxy tab 3 variants although am not sure when the new Nexus 7 will make its way to India.
