Samsung, the world’s largest phone manufacturer is finally planning to reboot its brand logo and everything else related to it. We ll are quite relative to the blue logo Samsung uses but honestly its boring and pretty dated in my opinion. According to reports from a Australian website Channel News, Samsung is in the process of overhauling their brand making it more modern and colourful.
The new logo is said to come with new individual colors that are made to represent the Samsung brand more as a global one, rather than Korean which is a good move if you ask me since Samsung has truly become a big name now with the latest tag of world’s largest phone manufacturer replacing Nokia recently. The mind behind the new logo is said to be Scott Bedbury, who has previously worked on advertisements at Nike (which we certainly know are impressive) and earlier for Starbucks.
Reportedly the new advertisements which will be coming after the new logo will focus on more on people’s lifestyles rather than their devices.
“Samsung’s brand became powerful only after they put a Chief Design Officer in place and made it a priority for the company. Now they are moving to expand the brand globally,” design VP at Lenovo, David Hill, commented.
This is surely a good time for Samsung to get a new brand image since it is at the top of its game right now with three out of every four Android smartphones that shipped last quarter were from Samsung . and people will surely like a new Samsung.
We can expect to see the these reports become a reality at CES 2012 which is set to kick off on January 8th in Las Vegas, Nevada. We just hope we get to see some devices too that go along with the new brand image. Whatever it is, we are pretty excited since we’re soon going to see something new and exciting.
