Android 4.4 has just arrived and we are already thinking as to when our beloved devices will get the latest and greatest Android version and Sony is the first company to announce their plans to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat to its Xperia devices.
We had earlier reported about the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update coming to Xperia devices such as the Xperia L, Xperia Z in November and now Sony has officially confirmed everything so that is no longer a rumor.
So according to Sony, its devices such as Xperia Z, Xperia ZR, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia V, Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX, Xperia T and the recently announced flagship Xperia Z1 will be getting the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean first starting next month which means December.
And coming to Android 4.4 KitKat, Sony has announced the devices which will be getting the update first and these include the flagships from Sony such as the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1.
Android 4.4 KitKat is here, Here’s what it brings
We are quite sure along with the Android updates Sony would also bring some of their updates to the operating system so we’ll tell you about that if we get to know and as Sony mentions the update will be rolled out region by region so you’ll have to be patient. There’s no mention about mid range devices such as the Xperia L so we’ll have to wait and watch if they get the Android 4.4 KitKat update from Sony but still its commendable that the Japanese giant have announced their plans so soon.
