Sony Xperia Z1 f aka Z1 Mini has been in rumors for quite long now and now the device is finally official as the Xperia Z1 f. The device is a mini version of the recently unveiled flagship from Sony, the Xperia Z1.
The Sony Xperia Z1 f aka Z1 Mini features a 4.3-inch TRILUMINOS HD (1280 x 720) display with Sony’s proprietary X-Reality engine for smartphones. The rest of the specs are the same as the flagship Xperia Z1 which means the device features the latest and greatest Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB RAM. There’s 16 GB inbuilt storage along with memory expansion upto 64 GB through a microSD card slot.
The camera is arguably the best you can get on Android phone right now. It features a 20.7 MP Exmor RS sensor coupled with BIONZ image sensor and pulsed LED flash, the same as the flagship Xperia Z1. There’s 2.2 MP front facing camera as well. The connectivity is well covered as it would on any high-end smartphone. The Sony Xperia Z1 f aka Z1 Mini features a 2300 mAh battery along with Sony’s STAMINA mode. It is also water and dust proof just like the Xperia Z1. It features the same design as the Xperia Z1, the same tampered glass front and back and an aluminium frame.
The Xperia Z1 f has been launched by Japanese carrier NTT Docomo which also launched Samsung Galaxy J. The Xperia Z1 f will come in the usual Black and White along with Lime and Pink. We can hope that the Xperia Z1 f will make its way to other parts of the world as Xperia Z1 Mini soon.
Samsung and HTC recently launched their flagship phones “Mini” versions, the Galaxy S4 Mini and the One Mini but they were half hearted efforts and the phones were nothing but mid rangers. So basically all said and done, we can say that Xperia Z1 f aka Z1 Mini is the most powerful “Mini” phone we have come across and anyone looking for a high end specs on a smaller phone should go with the Xperia z1 Mini, its simply a no brainer.
