At the ZoomReinvented event, all eyes were on the star of the show that is the Nokia Lumia 1020 but Nokia also released the info that some popular apps are finally making their way to Windows Phone and some of the apps will be Nokia Lumia exclusives.
Twitter’s video sharing app Vine will be coming to Windows Phone soon although there’s a cool client for Vine in the Windows Phone Store, 6 sec. The popular magazine reader app Flipboard which was announced for Windows 8 at the build conference also will be making its way to Windows Phone. The apps coming to Windows Phone devices are:
- CNN
- Vine
- Vycline
- Yelp
- Path
- Oggl Pro
- Panagraph
- Snapcam
Some of them are exclusive to Lumia devices such as the Oggl Pro which lets you post pictures to social networks such as Instagram. The popular app Path is also finally coming to Microsoft’s platform.
These apps will surely close the gap of popular apps missing in Windows Phone Store now only and we can only see the platform growing watching how hard Nokia is working to make the platform work.
Here is the statement by Nokia:
Hipstamatic showcased Oggl PRO, an exclusive application for the Nokia Lumia 1020 offering the most advanced smartphone camera controls for their creative community. It was also announced that popular applications Vine, Path and Flipboard will soon be available on Windows Phone.
With the constant growth of apps and games, Windows Phone’s app scene is starting to look strong as Microsoft announced new games coming to Windows Phone at Build conference and now some popular apps making their way. Here’s hoping for more apps and games for Windows Phone come at the same quick pace and yes hopefully Microsoft has been working on a big update all this while but this silence and wait is surely intriguing.
