Xiaomi’s budget friendly fitness tracker, the Mi Band has been a great success and the company is all set to bring its successor. We have a new leak that allegedly shows us the new Mi Band 2.
We have had previous leaks that were supposed to be of the Mi Band 1s, which packed in a new heart rate monitor and today, we have a new image of what is said to be the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. The leaked image of the purported Mi Band 2 shows us the body of the tracker, which now seems to be round in shape. The first Mi Band had a rectangular design with rounded corners, so a new design is indeed eminent.
We only have one image of the supposed Mi Band 2, so we can’t really say if the new design will bring any major change. That’s all we know for now about the new fitness tracker from Xiaomi except for the fact that it will be be an affordable device, which is the norm for Xiaomi devices. While we might see both the Band 2 and the Band 1s or the Band 1s might have been just an early prototype and the Band 2 is the real deal.
Xiaomi has also scheduled a event dubbed “AMAZFIT” on September 16 in China, so we might get to see the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 get official.
