Xiaomi entered the Indian market with a bang last year and tomorrow is the day when it happened. To celebrate its very first anniversary in India, the company plans to make a few announcements catering to the Indian fans. Well, Xiaomi has just teased one of its announcements. The latest teaser from the company suggests that a 32 GB version of the Mi 4i might be announced tomorrow.
The teaser shows a matchstick puzzle that reveals the company’s plans to double the storage on the Mi 4i. While most if not all Xiaomi devices have been well received in the country, people have been demanding the company to increase the storage capacities on its phones. Considering the Mi 4i comes with 16 gigs of non-expandable storage, out of which only 13 GB is available to the user, the demand for more storage is plausible.
Previously, Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra had cited the compact nature of the Mi 4i for not putting a microSD slot in the device. He also suggested that use of microSD cards slows down the user experience on these devices.
Anyways, if you are one of the people who have waited for the 32 GB Mi 4i, then your wish might be about to come true. The Mi 4i 16 GB is priced at Rs. 12,999, so it will be interesting to see the price of the Mi 4i 32 GB, considering the Mi 4 is available for Rs. 14,999. Well, we will surely keep you posted on all the Xiaomi news that comes out tomorrow.
